Technology and Agriculture
Submission deadline: 10th December 2026
MOTE: Museum of the Environment invites photographers to submit work exploring the relationship between technology and agriculture.

About the Open Call
Agriculture has continually evolved alongside technological innovation, transforming how we cultivate land, produce food and interact with the natural environment.
We are looking for photographs that explore this relationship, from traditional farming methods and agricultural machinery to modern technologies and the future of food production. We welcome work that considers the environmental impact of these developments, the changing agricultural landscape, or the relationship between innovation, people and the land.
Selected photographs will be displayed alongside MOTE’s forthcoming pump display which will be done in collaboration with Futurepump, bringing contemporary photographic perspectives into conversation with agricultural technology and the museum’s wider exploration of the environment.

What We’re Looking For
We welcome a broad range of photographic approaches, including documentary, landscape, experimental and conceptual photography.
Your work might explore:
- Agricultural machinery, tools and technological innovation.
- The changing landscapes of farming and food production.
- The relationship between agriculture, industry and the environment.
- Sustainable farming and the future of food production.
- The people, processes and places behind agriculture.
We encourage photographers to interpret the theme in their own way.
