Imaginarium MOTE Ipswich

Imaginarium

The Imaginarium is not just a 'Think' tank, it's a 'Do' tank. Whilst discussing issues, problems and solutions is important, even more so is the need to take action afterwards. Which is more important? Thinking or acting. The Imaginarium does both.

Museum of the Environment – MOTE

What’s happening at MOTE? – MOTE is a central focus for debate, conferences, events to do with the environment and climate crisis.

We are a hub for all things environmental. A source of information, networking, knowledge exchange, collaborations and connections.

Our aim is to inform and raise awareness in order to influence change – change for a better, more sustainable future.

We are committed to building a brighter and better future using lessons from the past, however, we need your help.

We’re looking for the following people to help make this a reality

  • Volunteer admin staff – to help contact exhibitors and sponsors.
  • Experts in the Environmental field – to deliver monthly lectures on topics of a wide interest.
  • Potential Trustees – to help run MOTE and ensure good governance.
  • Exhibitors – individuals, researchers, inventors, organisations, companies who have an environmental story to tell and who are passionate about improving the environment and fighting climate change.

Additionally, we are actively seeking individuals who are inspired by our mission and want to contribute their specialist skills towards their local community in the following areas.

  • Social media gurus – Sharing the mission is the biggest battle.
  • Fundraising geniuses – Systemic change requires a grassroots movement to bring broad change. Sound funding engenders change.
  • Ambassadors – Both young and old, anyone passionate enough to spread the message is needed!
  • Imaginarium Facilitators – Are you are good listener? Can you get the best out of people? We need facilitators to guide Imaginarium members on a journey to help create change.
  • … and many more roles.

The time commitment is as much or as little as you want but a passion for the environment is critical.
